Twelve and one half years ago I was coming home from the grocery when a van in front of me pulled partly over, opened a door and tossed out who I came to call Hank. He was scared and ran a couple of small circuits around a small area before coming up to me. He was maybe about two years old the vet thought. Hank shared his time with multiple other cats and two Siberian Huskies. All strays, kittens of strays and rescues. One day when he didn't show up we became very concerned and searched the house only to find he had pushed through the door hatch to the attic/crawl space in the ceiling. Seems we had some squirrels get in and he felt it was his mission to welcome them. The photo of Hank was the last one taken. His was so happy just laying on the porch in the sun, getting belly rubbings. |
