"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die...A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance..." Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 Over twenty years ago (October 2000), it took a little coaxing for me to agree to adopt a sickly little kitten with "kennel cough" from the Capital Humane Society in Lincoln. Yet, I dove head first into "pet parenthood" when I adopted Hershey; and I am really glad that I did. Her personality was sweet (true to her name) and more human than some humans I know. Her companionship was an immeasurable blessing. From Lincoln to Fremont, from Fremont to the San Francisco Bay Area, and from California back to Nebraska, our 20+ year journey together was a great one. I will forever love and miss her. Farewell, Hershey...until we are together again in a far better place. |
