Our Dear Kallie Grace went to heaven last evening. We woke up and all was well with she and her daughter Kenzie, the two of them doing their morning tussle and ear licking but in the afternoon Kallie had an acute episode that led to the discovery that she had a malignant mass on her spleen and she was bleeding internally. Kallie lived a good life with us, more than 7 years of retirement after having been a breeder dog in Virginia for 5 years where she had four litters of puppies, a total of 28 healthy beautiful puppies that made 28 families very happy. All her puppies lived and she was a wonderful mom to each and every one. Then she came to live with Kenzie, from her third litter and they were constant companions for the rest of her life. Kallie was over 12 years old but led a very healthy life. We are grieving our sudden loss of our baby - a very loyal, steadfast, loving, affectionate and protector of her puppies both two-legged and four-legged. She is missed terribly by her forever Dad (her favorite) and Mom as well as her beautiful baby Kenzie. We take comfort in knowing that she is now in heaven with our other wonderful babies, Bailey and Bentley, pain free, happy and young again. Kallie loved to run in wide open spaces - run Kallie run! One day we will join you and play together forever.
