The first time I met you, you licked my face, and stole my heart. You came into my life when I needed a friend. I rescued you, but you really rescued me. You made it happy to walk in the front door. I remember Friday nights last summer, when I was playing my guitar, and you were listening, where I was so grateful that you were still in my life, because I knew that we were on borrowed time for a few years. The vet told me that it is pretty rare for a 50 pound dog to make it to 17. It must have been our nightly bike rides to the beach. I'm just happy that you got to see me come full circle. My depression and addiction, to try to cover up the depression got the best of me. You saw me get better, and then everything got better in rapid succession, and then you went to heaven. Thank you Logan for showing me unconditional love when I needed it most. Love Dad |
