Memories of Lola
Lola was a tough little girl...a Tortie with plenty of Tortie-tude. She decided early on that I was going to be her Human and that she would protect me at all costs. No cat was too big for all of her 8lbs to use to make sure no one came near me. If I needed to use the bathroom , she would place herself at my feet making sure no one came into the bathroom to disturb me. Then she would escort me down the hall to the kitchen every morning as I fed and watered my herd and got myself a cup of coffee. I would then go to the TV room and watch some TV while I brushed and gave kisses to my cat family. Lola always made sure she was first by sitting on my lap and not allowing anyone near me. After her turn was done, she would leave and allow the others their turn of getting kisses and brushes and hugs. She would patiently wait for me to come back to the bedroom where she would spend her time laying next to me or following me from room to room while I did the days chores. She never left me alone for too long. That Monday morning , when I woke up and Lola did not greet me, I knew something was wrong. I found her finally, ''asleep'' in her cat bed. I knew that the rest of my life would be different from that day on. You will be eternally missed, my Little Soldier.
