Almost made it to 17 Little Buddy! Our PopPop! Or Dukis and GMA called you. Our precious Luke. Fought and won like a Hero during your last days and hours. We knew as we prayed over you, you were tired and did not want to leave us. Here we have the trophies of your last battle! Godiva misses you so much, but we all know you are now with your Leia and Maxie. You watched over us in such a special way, our little warrior with a heart that was bigger than all the years of your life itself. You taught us so much about Time, about suffering, about life! We are trying so hard to just focus on that and not that you're actually gone from our sides. We will hold that love in our hearts and minds until we can hold you again in heaven. Wait for us, Little Man! Be happy with Gramma, for I know she let us know she received you in her loving arms as you crossed over to the Bridge! Please visit us once in awhile, so we know you are happy and waiting patiently for the rest of us to come home. Of all the painful losses, yours was the most painful for so many reasons. Here I am one year later, thinking of you, Little Man. I cannot say much for the pain is so great. Godiva picked up so many of your habits, and she is so much like you now! Our last baby who will one day join you, too. I know in my heart you are close to us many times, so does she because when i'm thinking of you she raises her head or some other gesture...love you Dukis. |
