Maddi was very loving. She loved people, especially children. She enjoyed riding in the car and going for walks to the local park. She often chased squirrels, but had no luck in catching one! It was not unusual to see her carrying a stick that was at least four feet long and hoping someone would chase her around the yard. Maddi was such an entertaining little girl whether it was tearing open Christmas gifts, hiding under the ottoman during a game of hide and seek, or performing her famous biscuit dance she made us smile and laugh on a daily basis. Maddi radiated love and she was loved by all who knew her. At one point we began driving her to an area nursing home to visit the residents, and her presence was so powerful that the staff decided to add a small dog to reside at the home permanently to bring comfort and joy to everyone. Maddi was always there to comfort one of us when she sensed illness or some kind of upset. She, in turn, looked to us to comfort and heal her in times of distress. We are eternally grateful for the time that we shared with her. Of course we had hoped for a few more years together, but we look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. She will live in our hearts forever! |
