Memories of Maxwell
Maxwell was adopted from a soldier who could no longer care for him because he was suffering from Cancer. We took Max off of Shawn's hands about 5 years ago and vowed to give him a most loving home. He was so smart, so patient and so very gentle and kind. Max was our Good Boy; our Precious Boy. His eyes were so human and so deep that you could get lost in his stare. If you rubbed him in the right spot, he'd give you his "Elvis Lips". He would follow you everywhere like a body guard, always keeping an eye out for something to bark at if it got too close. Squirrels and birds knew better than to step foot in our back yard. Maxwell would chase them off and trot back with a satisfied look on his face. At the Dog Parks he was known as the Fun Police. He loved to break up packs of rowdy dogs who were chasing each other but he would also stick up for the underdogs that were getting bullied. He was probably Security in a past life. At home, he shared space with his two sisters; Sofia (Beagle) and Celia (KC Spaniel).

His sudden departure from this world has left a great emptiness in our home and in our hearts. He is greatly loved and missed by all of us in the Ramirez-Jurkovac home and the void will be hard to fill.
