In May 2009, a handsome grey tabby sauntered down the gravel road and soon became Mom's new cat. Her previous cat, Shorty, had just passed away. Maryon's husband, Ken, passed away later that same month. Merlin, as Mom named him (since he magically appeared) was, by far, the friendliest, people loving cat we had ever seen. He greeted everyone who came to the house and never hid from strangers. Mom and Merlin were inseparable until Mom's passing in March 2020. When at Mom's house you knew all was right with the world with Merlin curled up in her lap. Merlin then moved to our condo and was an amazing comfort during the pandemic. He always gave so much more than he asked for. Head butts and purring goes a long way in brightening one's outlook on life! Run free, Twirlin' Merlin! You are free from the bonds of an imperfect world and a pain ridden body. I'm sure you have already found Mom's lap! Love, |
