I've know Mia her entire life, as my grand dog. She came to live with us Christmas 2016. Despite some quite serious health problems, she was tough, feisty, and self-possessed - never intimidated by anyone or anything! We decided her Mafia name was "Mia the Scrap" - she was a scrappy little scrap of fur. She added so much joy to our lives and we will miss her dearly. Mia, my pet, by now you have certainly found your brother, Austin, and all of your friends who crossed the bridge before you - Chrissi, Kita, Miko, Daisy, and Penney. I know they are happy to see you and I am looking forward to being with all of you again someday. I can't believe that it's been a week already since you left us - you've left a hole in our household that will be hard to fill. Run and play, little one! All the medication and troubles are behind you now. We love you. 1/1/19 - Mimi - your family was here for New Year's and they were so sad that you weren't with us, as are Granspa and I. I know that you are with Daisy, Mia, Penney, Kita, and Chrissi and it eases my heart. I love you, feisty girl! 4/25/19 - Mias - please keep an eye out for Booster today. He crossed the Bridge around 6:30 this morning and I know he will be looking for all of you. Play with him and comfort him in the knowledge that he's free from pain and will see his dad again one day. 9/11/19 - Hey, Mia the Scrap - your buddy, Joey, crossed the Bridge this morning. I watched a video of you, Penney, and Joey all playing and I'll just bet you are all doing the same thing right now. Love you, little one. 3/7/22 - Mimi - baby - missing you today on the day we lost Daisy. What an amazing collection of companions I have been blessed with! I can imagine you bossing everyone around. Love you! |
