Memories of Middy
Middy was born around 2012 and found at an abandoned house by a person who couldn't keep her. She was taken to our local humane society. I had lost my previous cat 2 months before. I saw her photo and went to visit. I brought her home on 10-29-16. She was very scared at first and hid for several days but then came out.

We enjoyed watching TV together, cuddling in the recliner, and playing with toys. Her favorite toys were a laser pointer, catnip mouse, and pole toy. She also enjoyed playing Cat Fishing on the iPad.

In the spring of 2020 we spent a few months with relatives and Middy enjoyed seeing squirrels, rabbits, and birds. That year I started working from home and Middy was a devoted co-worker and supervisor. Once my actual boss was instant messaging with me and Middy started texting nonsense! Fortunately the boss thought it was funny.

In late 2020 Middy was diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease. She did well until a few months ago when her symptoms got worse and she was put on medication.

Since nothing was helping anymore, I decided to ask the vet to end her suffering. On 3-20-23, she passed at the vet's office and I was with her. She had a very gentle passing.

I will always miss her but I am glad she is at peace, and look forward to seeing her and my other cats again.
