My dear, beautiful Miss Violet, I loved you the minute I saw your picture. You were a stray and ended up in a shelter. The shelter said you were not a good candidate for adoption because you yelped in fear any time anyone tried to touch you. Someone had hit and hurt you and then dumped you outside to fend for yourself. I will never understand the cruelty of humans. Dalmatian rescue stepped in and I remember the day I saw that picture of you, just before I picked you and Julius up to be my new fosters. It was love at first sight. Poor baby, you yelped when anyone even brushed by you. Before long, you realized no one was going to hurt you anymore and you made a 180 degree turn in personality! You were no longer a "shrinking violet", but a spunky girl with lots of personality. Out of the four years you graced my life, two of them were spent in renal failure. I researched everything there was to find about it and with that knowledge, the quality of your life improved ten fold. Thank you, K9kidney diet group. Unfortunately, there comes a day when all the help in the world makes no difference and it is time to say goodbye. I love you always and forever, Miss Violet. Run free until we are together again, my beautiful girl.
