Kitties capture your heart, And are a precious part of that circle of life Homes free from strive The comfort of a purr A toy mouse, A warm house, A secret hide away to sleep away the day Or A window with a view, Those bugs have no clue And lizards best run, When a kitty hides the sun Cause Kitties rule, Lizards drool, And dogs just fart But a kitty that's sweet, Always wins your heart. So Monk gave his best purr, A beautiful bundle of fur, With eyes deep like the ocean, He was magical potion. A friend faithful and dear, Who made one simple thing clear: A kitty in your lap, Gazing into eyes Evokes a gentle sigh, And is a healing release That Sets your mind at peace, And deserves a gentle sigh, For the sweet by and by!! So Monk was a gift from above, A treasure of grace and love His kitty power is forever ours His kitty hugs cuddly and sweet, His Kitty meows to meet and greet His kitty naps in your very own lap! "So chill out" Monk might say "And take it slow, Just relax don't you know" I'm up here in Heaven With The Lion of Judah! A poem about Monk written by a friend - David Stephens Our lives were made so much better for over 18 years by a sweet faced, large copper eyed, furry black Persian!
