Ours for a little while, now our Nikki's gone
He followed the path God took him on.
Nikki ran to Him when he heard His call
He wagged his tail and left it all.

Nikki could not stay another day
To camp, to love, to romp and play.
Unseen campsite must stay that way
Nikki found such peace that March first day.

Our life's been full, Nikki gave so much
His companionship, devotion, his loving touch.
A friendship shared, his love, his kiss
Everyday, these things we'll miss.

Nikki's time with us seems all too brief
He wouldn't want his memories sadden with grief.
Our hearts are breaking as tears begin to flow
God wanted our Nikki now...........so he had to go.
