You came into this world as a set. I adopted you and your litter-mate sister, Toffie Sue from the kindly vet that has come to be a part of our family. I called you Vanilla, because you had more white on you than calico. You were so outgoing and opinionated. Kind of a drama queen. Friendly and gregarious, you purred all the time. Every night for sixteen years you came to bed with me and slept behind my back; resting your head on the back of my neck or on the pillow..and purring until you fell asleep. You were the yin and Toffie was the yang. When I didn't feel well, you combed my hair with your paws. You were with me through everything. Consoling me when Cherub died, when Angel died on Christmas night in 2013, even when Toffie had to leave in early 2014. You saw me through my hospital stays when would come home to convalesce, my eye surgeries, and two knee surgeries. I saw you getting tired, but you were stalwart at 16. And then you got the cold...and I got that cold feeling around my heart...and I knew....I miss you so much Nillie. So very much. Love you always. Love Mommie Please also visit Angel Blue. |
