Memories of Ollie
Ollie came into our life by showing up at the door one day. Kelly was in 4th grade and immediately wanted to keep him but we had 4 other cats already so her Dad first said no and then said okay but only if she got 100 signatures on a petition. She went to school and came back with over 100 and the rest is history.
Ollie and Kelly had a bond like no other. He was always with her, came when she whistled and slept with her every night by crawling under the blankets and snuggling. The only annoying thing was if she didn't get up quick enough when he was hungry he would knock off everything on her nightstand one by one with his little paw. He was with her through all her good times and sad times.
Ollie was with Kelly through elementary school, middle school and high school graduation. He even attended college with her at Eckerd College and receive his own diploma and hat!
He had the love of many brothers and sisters. Patrick the duck lived with him in Kelly's college dorm and they would both hang out on her bed. Patrick was cranky but he always got along with Ollie. His special loving sister Daisy would sleep with him and wash him for hours. Ralph and Miley his other brother and sister will also miss him even though they both occasionally gave him a hard time.
Ollie was the most mellow cat we have ever met. He would let her dress him up in anything including leather jackets, santa outfits, lion mane, rasta hat, unicorn horn and a snuggie. This includes the ridiculous clown collar he is wearing in the picture. He was always willing to go along, that is how much he loved her.
These past few days have been really hard. Ollie died in Kelly's arms which is the place he was always happiest. We will always have an Ollie hole in our hearts that will never be filled and we will miss and love him always.
Love Kelly, Barbara, Walter, Jake and Celia (grandma) Ejnes.
