To say we loved this little guy with all our heart just doesn't do justice to how much he meant and will always mean to us. He's been with me, Amy, since I was 28 years old (I'm now 42). That's long enough that I don't really remember not having him right by my side, and I'm having a hard time imagining what that's going to be like going forward. Thankfully, I have wonderful memories of this little fella who stole my heart so many years ago. His other mommy, Candace, came into our lives and joined our family 5 years ago, and she too, fell head over heels in love with this little angel - it was impossible not to. And you can bet my sweet boy loved her right back, and in his typical funny and adorable little fashion, he showed her every single day, with all his might, just how much. :-) His name folks, was Paxton Leroy Bocephus Bare - born in Dallas, Texas on November 30, 2001. This tiny cowboy was hilarious, feisty, playful, stubbornly independent - "his own little man" - did what he wanted, when he wanted and my job from day #1 was to simply enjoy it, give him "good-boy-treats" and love him BIG...each and every day. And I can only hope I served him half as well as he did me. He ran the house, was the boss of everyone... all day every day! Each night of his sweet, precious life though... faithful, loyal, and true, he curled up next to Mama (that lucky one, was me ), as close as he could get, and slept like a little angel... until of course, he was ready to pop up bright and early the next morning... annnnnnnd that's when he would sit on my head - with great enthusiasm, I might add. I giggle and I cry at the same time knowing I'll miss him and all his funny lil antics so very much. He was and will always be "Mama's sweet little man". Thank you all for visiting Paxton's Rainbow Bridge Residency, and hope you'll stop by often to say hello and send him one of your nice, warm hugs.
To our dear sweet Paxy, Job 12:7, "Ask the animals, and they will teach you..." Psalm 36:6, "Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals." Genesis 9:16, "Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth." |
