Penny, We all knew from the day we picked you up from NSAL that you were the perfect dog for us. You were a little stand offish at the beginning, but that was just being you. It did not take long for you to get used to your surroundings and we had a nice big yard for you to play in. We had to get a fence so you would not run away. You dug many holes in the backyard due to your curiosity. As you got older, you stopped digging holes and just loved to play catch with the ball or the Frisbee. You always got extra excited when Uncle Dan came to the house, you acted in a real crazy way. When the holiday's came around, we always dressed you up to match what the holiday was. You wore antlers for Christmas, a mask for Halloween and an American flag bandana for Memorial day and 4th of July. You always looked forward to our walks in the morning, whether it be hot or cold, rainy or snowy. You were very protective of me also, especially when you saw other dogs, you would bark at them. As you got older, you never really slowed down, you always had a lot of energy. every Friday when i brought home pizza and Starbucks, you went crazy because you loved to have that as a treat. I always looked forward to coming home sometimes in the afternoon from work to check up on you and at the end of the work day. You would always be waiting for me at the door. That meant so much to me. There are so many other great memories that it is hard to list them all here. all I know is that Mommy, Chris Jr. and myself have such a void without you here. For myself, I feel your presence here always, I still walk in the morning with your leash and make stops along the way. i will leave now and just know that we always think about you and we know you are at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for us to be united once again. Love, Mom, Dad and Chris Jr. 11/09/2023 |
