My wife and I first met Peter on November 11, 2010 in a wonderful Virginia pet store. Peter was only 1 of 2 small bunnies in the store. The rest of the bunnies were large. Peter was a beautiful Lions-Head dwarf rabbit. There was only 1 small water spout for all of the bunnies to drink from. Peter kept trying to get to the water spout, but the larger rabbits kept knocking Peter over. Peter was knocked down 4-5 times, but he kept getting up attempting to get to the water spout. Peter finally got to the water spout for something to drink. That taught my wife and I about Peter's characteristics. Peter was a very courageous and brave rabbit who provided my wife and I with treasured love thru his lifetime. Peter was a very healthy rabbit throughout his first 9 years on earth. During his final years on earth, Peter had 2 life-saving surgeries. Those surgeries had a drastic effect on Peter's overall health. During Peter's final 2 years on earth he developed osteoarthritis which became progressively worse. Peter could no longer hop and play and run due to osteoarthritis. My wife and I hoped Peter would have no more surgeries.. Peter was in severe pain the last few months of his lifetime. He continued to be a wonderful rabbit who provided my wife and I with love even though he was sick. Towards the end of his life Peter cut back his eating and drinking. On June 9, 2022 Peter had what appeared to be a stroke or heart attack. In his last moments on earth, he passed on to the Rainbow Bridge in the arms of my wife. The Lord had taken Peter to be with him in Heaven. Peter was a loving and extremely sweet rabbit. My wife and I miss him terribly, but we are happy Peter is no longer suffering and in pain. Thank You Lord for taking Peter to be by your side. WE LOVE YOU PETER! GOD BLESS YOU PETER! Please also visit Lucky Armstrong. |
