I LOST MY SWEET QUINNIE BUT HER REAL NAME WAS QUINN. SHE LEFT PAW PRINTS ON MANY PEOPLES HEARTS. SHE WAS A GENTLE SOUL NEVER RAMBUNCTIOUS AND JUST WAITED TO BE PETTED BY ANYONE. I FIRST SAW QUINN ON A SHELTERS WEB PAGE AND IT WAS LOVE. SHE HAD THIS WHITE HAIR ON THE BRIDGE OF HER NOSE AND ON HER CHEST AND ON HER PAWS. HER CHEWING WAS CONFINED TO 3 COUCH PILLOWS AND HOUSEBREAKING WAS EASY. ONLY PIDDLED ON THE CARPET 3 TIMES AND WAS PROMPTLY PLACED OUTSIDE AFTER TELLING HER NO. WHEN I SPOKE TO HER SHE WOULD LOOK ME RIGHT IN MY EYES AND NOT FLINCH AND I THOUGHT SHE COULD SEE MY SOUL. SHE CONTRACTED DIABETES AND REQUIRED 2 INSULIN SHOTS A DAY WHICH I MINDED MORE THAN SHE. ALSO HAD CATARACTS IN BOTH EYES BUT SHE HAD A BIT OF SIGHT OUT OF ONE EYE AND GOT AROUND FAIRLY WELL UNTIL I MOVED SOMETHING AND SHE WOULD BUMP INTO IT. I WATCHED HER NAVIGATE THE HOUSE AND IT WAS AMAZING TO WATCH. GRIEVING HER LOSS IS OVERWHELMING AT TIMES BUT I LOOK AT HER PICTURES AND TOUCH THEM AND TELL HER I LOVE HER MANY TIMES A DAY. FLY THROUGH THE CLOUDS AND REST EASY MY QUINNIE. |
