Riley came to us from the SPCA shelter after spending a year in 2 shelters. He would put his paws on your chest and move up to put his paws around your neck like a hug. As he got older he got sick and got diabetes and needed insulin shot twice daily which eventually led to Riley becoming blind. His personality was unchanged. Always wagging his tail around others and other dogs he was the happiest dog anyone knew. He also had a class 3/4 heart murmur. He loved to cuddle and have his belly rubbed. He loved to ride in the car, and for the last year rode with us to the beach twice daily. He always "left his mark" wherever he went. We have had a number of great dogs over the last 54 years of marriage, Mr. Riley was best dog considering his problems. Because he always took his meds easily, he was the hero of the pharmacists. Riley leaves a hole in his group of "daily walkers" in the neighborhood. His girlfriend Mia, and Devon, Sasha, Rosie and Sade. He also had several cats in his life who will miss him. |
