Memories of Sandy

Sandy was a beautiful Colli Lab born November 17, 1996. She was only 8 weeks old when my husband brought her home for me. I named her Sandy, for her sandy colored hair. She had beautiful traits. She was full of life and energy. She loved lots of dog bones and treats especially peanut butter. She loved to go for car rides and take herself for a walk. She would open our front door and just go out. She was so much fun to have around and she would follow me around the house. I have countless memories of Sandy. I would lay on the floor next to you and put my arm on you and if I took my arm away, you would put your paw on me. She brought me so much love and joy to our family. There will never be another dog like you, Sandy.

Sandy, you were more than a pet, you were a friend, part of our family and our guardian angel who protected us. Words can not describe my emptiness. I know you had trouble at times getting around with your back legs. But they went too fast and I tried so hard to make the right decision. It broke my heart, I did not want you to suffer.

You are truly special and will always be in my heart and thoughts. I will never forget you.

Sandy was cremated and rests by her favorite plant!

Hi Sandy,
It's been only 4 months since you left. We miss you and think about you all the time. We decided to get a sister for you. She is a Sharbo, sharpay and boxer mix. Aaron named her Shadow. I know you would love her. Please watch over her. I know you are having fun and I am sure you made lots of friends. We love you. Mommy

I can't believe it has been one year since your passing. I miss you so so much. Shadow is almost a year and she is learning alot. She has a great personality like you had, yo would love her. I miss you...have to go to work. Love Mom

5-21-2013 Hi Sandy, Tomorrow will be three years...seems so much longer and time is going by so fast. Shadow is turning 3 next month. She is just like you....very energetic, playful, loves to cuddle and nips at your brothers feet. I am sending you a pictures of her... We love you. Mom

05-16-2019 Hi Sandy....9 years ago we lost you. Well your sister has calmed down; but now our brother brought home a German Sheppard. Her name is Luna and she is really cute and giving Shadow a run. Shadow keeps up with her though. Watch over Shadow and Luna! Love you!!

05-15-2023 Hi Sandy....13 years ago we lost you. Your sister Shadow is now 13 years old and Luna is 4 years old. Miss you!! Watch over Shadow and Luna! Love you....Mom
