On May 7, 2010 beautiful Santino was born, one of five pups. I was so excited to see photographs of the litter and anxious to choose a male companion for my one year old female Sienna. It's never easy to choose which pup is coming home with you, but the breeder made it quite easy for me by narrowing it down to two pups. She cleverly sat me down, put both pups in the center of the room with plenty of toys. Santino decided to show off and with toy in mouth decided he was going to climb two steps into the next room Of course, he was too tiny to make it and tumbled backwards landing with four legs in the air. Impress me he did, he was the one coming home with me.I decided to name him Santino (little saint) because he was truly a blessing from God. My little guy was not shy, he hit it off with his big sister immediately. I adored him as he did me. He became Mommy's little boy who showered me with his love and affection. He was very generous with his sweet kisses. I will always miss his big soulful eyes that could tell me a story just by looking into them. Sadly, God decided on Christmas Day he needed another Christmas angel and called my Tino home. My heart was torn in pieces that the last three days of his life was in ICU on oxygen. I pray to God, that Tino knew I would have done anything in my power to save him. I love and miss you so, I miss your beautiful baby face (my pumpkin). Loosing you has changed our world completely. The world is forever a little darker, less colorful and less full of happiness without you. Sienna is so lost, she depended on you hearing for her. Now she is lost in a quiet world without her baby brother and there is nothing I can do to cheer her. She is so sad all the time. Your spirit and soul will remain with us always. God bless you and your brother Cisco who crossed over eleven years ago. Love you always, my Tino Bino... |
