I got Sasha when she was 9 weeks old. She was raised with cats and learned to act a cat, except use the litter box. When she was about 10 months old I decided that she should be smelling the Butts of her own kind! So once a week she went to Doggie Day Care. She loved it! She knew the route we took by heart, every turn and stop. One day there was road construction and we had to detour. I wish I could describe the look on her face as we turned. She barked once and looked at me with a puzzling look. I said, its okay we'll get there. In summer she always seemed to be too warm and spent a lot of time on the floor. so I decided to have her long hair cut short. I believe she loved it and spent more time on the sofa and bed. When I took her home that day, I swear she strutted around the room, like telling the Cats, Hey look at me, I am adorable now, I can still see her doing that. I believe she was happy to get of some of that fur. She loved the snow and would run through it like a snow plow. I had always wanted a small dog. But didn't like the idea of leaving her home alone during the day. So when I retired. I thought its now or never. That's how Sasha came into my life. A few months before her death she was diagnosed with heart issues, I never thought it would the cause of her death so soon. She was more than worth the wait for "My" small dog, She gave 10 yrs of love. Love Ya Honey!!!!! 05-08-2022. ❤️❤️ |
