Scout's early life remains a mystery as she was found in the outdoor drop-off cage of the Burbank Animal Shelter. She was the only adult cat surrounded by a variety of adorable kittens when John walked into the Cat Room one day in early June. Scout decided right then and there that she had found her soulmate and came to live with us on John's Birthday in 2001. She was an "only pet" for many years but generously made room for her brother and sisters as they came in and out of her life - Shira, Louie and Elle. Scout loved to greet us at the door and would carry her "baby" (a small catnip pillow) around the house while making loud yowling sounds that would sometimes wake us in the dead of night. Scout is greatly missed and will be forever remembered for her grace, beauty and feistiness (we never could clip her nails, even with the two of us). Please also visit Mars. |
