My dear Shadow, through the years and over time, I have come to know the power that your love exudes; it gives a strength that you feel deep in your soul, bathes you in hope and joy, shields you from disappointments, and bonds you to whoever you grace your love on. You made our home a heaven; a place filled with gentleness and generosity. You bathed me with love each time I looked in your eyes. Through your grace, I felt your inner strength and determination. You fought and I fought with you, until the end. I prayed, I dreamed, I dared to hope that a miracle would embrace you. It was not the outcome anticipated; too short in time and too brief a life. You are my forever companion whom I will always keep in my heart and never say 'goodbye' to. |
