Memories of Smitty
This is the story of an unadoptable dog from the mpls animal pound. Smitty was a pitbull/ boxer mix that wasn't adoptable due to a previous bite report. During the October clear the shelter event Stacy went down there and found no dogs left. The staff Indroduced her to Smitty after learning she was a dog trainer. She clicked with him and was allowed to adopt him. He was the BEST dog ever. Everyone he met loved him with the exception of AJ her husband. Any ti.e AJ was around Smitty was on high alert. Sadly on Fri Jan 21 Smitty lost his life trying to protect Stacy from AJ. Smitty was fatally stabbed and did not survive his wounds. This unadoptable dog turned out to be a guardian angel in disguise. He laid down his life for Stacy. I need this to get shared and go viral. There's always negative stories about pitbulls this is a sad but positive one. SMITTY was loved by everyone and will be missed

It's been a week since you crossed the bridge and not a day goes by that you're not loved or missed. Oh Smitty if you knew how many lives you touched in your brief time with us you'd be amazed. Inky misses you so bad as does rumple at my house. Your human and dog friends miss you terribly. I hope you're having a blast chasing balls and playing and don't worry about your mom she's stronger then she looks and I promise you my grand puppy one way or another we will get justice for you. There will never be a more braver boy then you were.
