Darling Sofia was such a warm and loving soul. When my sister and I saw her for the first time at the Humane Society of New York 10 years ago, we instantly fell in love with her. She was just 5 years old and the past 10 years sharing our home with her have been such a blessing. She got along famously with her 2 siblings, Winslow, a Blue Point Himilayan and Delilah, a dilute calico. She just loved to play, purr and sleep in her tree or on our beds. Sofia has been such a brave little girl for the past few years since her kidney disease began. She just entered Stage 4 Kidney Disease recently and had to cross over to the Rainbow Bridge due to advanced renal failure. She diligently took all her medications and subq fluids daily. She was truly our little angel. In the past few weeks she had become weaker each day and found it difficult to walk to her water and food bowls. It was so very painful to say goodbye to her but we didn't want her to suffer. Our home is so empty without her and we will miss her forever. She will always hold a very special place deep in our hearts. Rest In Peace Beautiful Sofia! We miss you so much!!! A thousand hugs and kisses, Your Mommies, Marjorie and Alice |
