It was your time to say goodbye,
Your little body of youthful puppyness
seemed to disappear overnight.

The rememberance of you as a pup
playfully tugging at your sisters sneakers,
your playful banter with you then brother "Clancey",
all bring a smile to my face and a tug at my heart.

I always told you to let me know when it
was your time, and you did.

The years quickly snuck up on us,
Your greying face and stiff body told me all
I needed to know,
It was your time to say goodbye.

You were and are, a once in a lifetime pet,
My soul pet, a special furbaby that only
comes across a person's path once in a lifetime.
But, it was your time to say goodbye.

A simple thank you is not enough for all the
years of love and happiness you gave me,
And I will love you forever.

Run and play sweet girl in a healthy body, I'll meet you at "The Bridge".
