TJ - You waited for us until one summer day in July 2008 when you were 12 1/2 years old. You could no longer live with your first and only master and while no one else wanted you, we did, and never looked back after that day when you moved in with us. So many times during the next two years when we had to go on trips and you couldn't go, you waited for us and we came back for you; when we had to go away for the day, the afternoon or out for an evening, you waited for us and we came back for you; when I had the most difficult assignment in my life last winter for 10 weeks, five nights a week, I always found you faithfully waiting for me asleep in my seat in the car every night when I came back. Night after night you could have slept anywhere you wanted but it was my seat where you waited until I returned. While you had a mind of your own and knew exactly what you were doing (or not going to do) you waited for Cheryl and I so many times and we always came back for you. One day in the early morning hours of August 2010 try as we might at 14 1/2 years old we could not keep you from leaving us. This time it was you who had to leave yet once again you are waiting for us . . . some day we too will make that final journey and come for you TJ but, not yet. So many times you made us laugh and you've made us cry - you still do - and we miss you every moment of every day. As you wait for us one last time TJ, just know that we will come again for you. Until then we will visit you at the Rainbow Bridge so you will know that we are with you every Happy Hour every day just like it was before you left. I still remember how we had to call it "HH" when we talked about the upcoming Happy Hour because as soon as we said those two words you were ready for treats and you could hardly wait!!! We love and miss you always TJ . . . see you someday again at Happy Hour! Dennis & Cheryl |
