Memories of Toby
Toby was the sweetest cat anyone would ever meet. He loved attention of all kinds and would never let anyone sit down without snuggles. He had the most gentle, loving eyes and would look up and meow at whoever was preparing his food, making sure they knew he was waiting. As a kitten, he loved to sit in bags, whether they were plastic or reusable, and his favorite toy until he died was a feather boa. I fondly remember him curling up into a ball when he was afraid, tucking his tail underneath him and granting him the nickname of "squirrel." He was also a little clumsy, once knocking over a glass of milk with his tail simply because he wanted some pets and snuggles. Most of the time, you would catch him purring and he was so happy that he would drool everywhere. Even when he needed insulin later in life and he was poked and prodded, he never held it against anyone and would sit quietly for his injections and be happy to eat and cuddle right afterward. We joked that he acted like an old man in the winter, spending much of his time sitting in front of the fire and looking at the flames. Not once did he ever hurt or be mad at anyone, and I know because of that he really truly was too good for this world. He joins his sister Chynna and I know that one day we will all join each other in heaven again and we will love him forever.

Please also visit Chynna.
