Tovi was a loving and caring being who watched over us and the other cats in our family. When anyone of us wasn't feeling well, Tovi would be there, right beside us.We found Tovi at a nearby shelter. We walked into a large room where the shelter had cats in open carriers. As we began to look around, Tovi came out of the carrier and started to nuzzle us.My wife and I thought this was the first time we were chosen, rather than choosing a cat we wanted. Tovi always came to greet everyone that came to our house, and was the one who would immediately reach out to any new cat we brought into our home. Tovi chose the same place to sleep each night, which was above my wife's head. When I brought my sister who had cancer to live with us Tovi would stay with her every night until she passed. She said to us many times in jest that she and Tovi decided to get married because of how wonderful he was. We had Tovi for 19 beautiful years. Tovi meant the world to us and we realize how blessed we were to have him in our family. We chose his name before getting to know him, but the name fit him perfectly. Tovi came from the Hebrew word Tov, which means good.Tovi gave us so much love and comfort we will never forget him.
