[12/04/23] - Tuckers, My Little Rooster. I knew this day would come and it breaks my heart. You have now joined your siblings, Scrunchers (Buddy) and Kimbers (Tweety) as well as Ally, your Mommy Cat, at the Rainbow Bridge. I remember when you were born, I had called you "Tux" at first, since you were a Tuxedo cat. I figured you needed a proper name and it became "Tuckers." Over the years, that changed to "Tuckeroos", then "Tuckerooster" and finally "Rooster", which I called you most of your life. Out of all my cats, you bonded closest with me. You were the first to claim your spot on the bed when I laid down to read or go to sleep. Most of the time, it was lying on my chest and purring. The other cats would also claim their spots but they knew which one was yours. The last 6 months of your life were rough for you. First you went blind, your kidneys got worse, you had a mass in the bladder but it was your heart that was giving out when you let me know it was time for you to go. Even though we had 19 years and 9 months together, it wasn't nearly enough. As with Tweety and Buddy, I was there when you took your first breath and I was there when you took your last. I bet Pippers and your Daddy Nibbers were also waiting for you and were glad to see you. My little cat family has all been reunited. I have so many good memories and crazy stories about you, maybe I'll write them down in future updates, it's just too difficult for me right now. As I told you many, many times, I'll always love you and you'll always be My Little Rooster forever and ever! Please also visit Ally (Mommy Cat), Baby, Kimbers (Tweety), Kitters, Little Baby, Nibbers, Pippers, Scrunchers (Buddy) and Squeakers. |
