Before my puppy died..:

I look at him as he lays on my laps, sleeping... i say "Hey, Lunar, do you know where Rainbow bridge is?". he lifts his little head and looks at me.. It tickled, so i giggled... He barked to little squeaks at me... i think that mean't "No, what is it?". i smiled and said "Rainbow Bridge is where all pets go after they die.... full of water... and food... and others to play with.." he squeaked at me and tilted his head. I laughed and continued "Well, it's a place before the bridge to Heaven... No fighting, just.... paradise.." i cried and said " Promise me, swear to me, that you will wait for me there... and we can cross the bridge together... wait for me, Edgar, and everyone else who cared for you..". I think he smiled and snuggled a bit more with me.


3 Days Later....
"This is all my fault! he took it too seriously... i forgot to tell him how long he would wait... And now.... he's in paradise.. and I'm happy for him..." I cry.


In Rainbow bridge....
"My owner, marie... No where is paradise without you.. but I WILL wait for you.... until we meet again.. never to be separated ever again.."
Both of us: "Not even paradise is paradise with out you... but I WILL wait for you..."

Years Later.....

I cry so hard...... my dad buys me a new puppy and it looks at me.. I frown and say "Is this supposed to replace him?" my dad looked at me and cried a bit. "Daddy, thanks, but i don't want to lose another family member life, and not even any puppy can replace Lunar. so please don't try to." My dad nodded and went outside to the pet seller and got his money back.

That night.
In a dream, I see him, back to health and alive, i smile and hug him. he says "Thank you for not replacing me.". I keep hugging him as i cried. "No one will ever replace you, Lunar. I swear.".... I woke up. It was 6:00 am, i was late for school, and as i rode in my car, I look at the skies. And i saw him in the clouds... that cute little face.... That small nose.. and the furry fur..... "I love you..." I say as i was closing my eyes. The wind whispered back, "I love you, too, and i will wait for you... I swear it..."... i smile and say "Good boy..." ...
