Sophie
by Amanda Bosarge.........................................
Last month I adopted a little kitty from the local Humane Society. She had been abused and had severe neurological problems. Her head bobbed constantly and she could walk but her balance was not good and she fell constantly. When she lifted her head from the cage and looked at me, her head wobbling back and forth, I was instantly in love. She stood and wobbled to the edge of the cage. The adoption lady told me that she saw the vet the next day and probably would not be adoptable because of her head injuries. I told them that I would adopt her. They called the next day and I took her home. She was so loving, she loved to sleep with her head across my neck, purring the whole time. I only had 6 weeks with her. I came home from work last night and she was curled up on her blanket, her eyes closed and her paw across her eyes like she was sleeping. I called her name and she didn't move. I knew then that she had passed. She always jumped up an down and was so excited when I came home. I am completely heart-broken. Mama loves you, Sophie. You're in a place now where no one can ever harm you again. I'll see you one day, kisses until then. Love, Mama
