It was the begining of May, and my brother, Kyle, and I where hoping to get a dog. As my brother and I where in the basement my dad called us up and told us to go outside. As my brother and I walked outside we saw our mom holding a puppy. My first thought was "is it ours" and as I held this dog for the first time, I knew I was never gonna let her go, no matter what! It was a family fued on what to name this dog. And we finally came to a name after 30 minutes. We decided on: Buck Ruts Black Water Belle. Buck Ruts for our cabins name (Buck Ruts acres), Black Water for her fathers name (Black Water Rudy) and Belle from my favorite movie at that time (Beauty and The Beast)!! Belle was a black lab, and loved to hunt. Most labs live till they are 12, but not for Belle. It was June 2007, and we found out that Belle had a tick disease. By the next month, July, we found out she no longer had the disease, but that she has cancer. The cancer didnt last long, by September she was cured and the vet said she would be fine, but as we took Belle in for a checkup 2 weeks later, we found out she wasnt fine. We had to put her to sleep. Belle's favorite place in the whole world was our cabin, so that is where we decided to bury her. Belle will never leave our hearts or our minds. We love her so much!!
