Man's Best Friend

In Loving Memory of Ringo

Man's Best Friend:
12 plus years you were by his side,
Eager to watch with eyes open wide.
So much joy you brought to his life,
Always loving and loyal, even to his wife.
A true protector of us all, even up to the end,
A safe feeling with you we could always depend.

As a puppy you were so quick and spry,
Your faithful spirit we could never deny.
An ever watchful eye and a desire to please,
Makes your passing hard for the pain to ease.
Memories of you will forever fill our hearts,
Though your days beside us on earth had to part.

Whether you were chasing bees or running after the lazer,
Or showing the enemy your big teeth were like a razor.
You could tell we were coming before we even got close,
You could find Daddy in the woods, with a one sniff dose.
You could play rough and be sweet all at the same time,
You could ran fast as lightening and turn on a dime.

You could cross a log behind Daddy and not miss a beat,
You could hike 15 miles and smile, which is no small feat.
You could sit, shake and stay and follow any command,
You were willing and able to tackle any demand.
You were man's best friend, keeping close at all costs,
Our hearts break, knowing we can't replace what's been lost.

We will keep your memory always, alive and strong,
We're glad you're back with Bubba where you belong.
We're glad you're not hurting and are now free from pain,
We will think of you often, come the sunshine and the rain.
We will look forward to the day when we are reunited side by side,
And thank you for the love & loyalty you gave us on your earthly ride.

RIP Ringo -- Mommy and Daddy love and miss you always! Till we meet again!
xoxo
