A bundle of love and kisses, she warmed my heart and brought peace to my soul, the day I brought her home we were on a path friendship which grew stronger everyday. She was a Christmas puppy... that's how she got her name. The "greatest" gift I ever gave, not just to myself but to her as well...was each other, I found her and you could say she found me. We were companions and friends for life from that moment on..... kindred spirits, she helped me take of myself as I took care of her, she improved my state of mind and gave me hope as I gave her a home which nurtured her with love and tenderness in return, by helping each other through good times and bad, we healed each other and created a bond of love and friendship between ourselves which will last a lifetime.

I always looked forward to coming home...she greeted me with joy, barking happily, tail wagging and body wiggling, waiting all day, we were always happy to see each other. Looking forward to our walks each and every day... to the lake or to the track....to the post office and back...or just around the neighborhood, it didn't matter where, we walked for miles and miles, sitting on park benches, enjoying our time together.

At home she wasn't far behind me....always in sight, watching me for hours, as I mowed the lawn or washed the cars, trimming the bushes or even shoveling the snow and though she didn't like them much she even watched me ride my dirt bike in our back yard. Never once did she complain or give me a hard time....that wasn't her nature. She loved lying down beside me outside or on the coach. She loved giving me kisses....licking and licking sometimes 30 minutes at a time. You couldn't help but love her...she was so easy to love. Some how we always understood each other don't ask me how....when I needed her most; she was right there beside to comfort to soothe my troubles away.

She loved many things, chasing squirrels or other little critters, playing with pokey man as she shred it to bits, teasing and chasing Teddy around house or outside, she loved playing soccer ball with us... boy was she quick. In the summer, though she resisted or hid quite well, she even took a quick dip in the pool with us to cool off on those hot, hot days.

I learned a lot from my little friend in the short time we had, that is why it was so hard to say good-bye to her, holding her and comforting her, as she did for me when I needed her most. There wasn't a selfish bone in her body; her love always unconditional as my love was to her and though our path has ended our love will go on and on. I will miss you much, my friend, my companion for life for we created a bond of love and friendship between ourselves which will last a lifetime and beyond.
