Brenna
by Annette Bianco.........................................
My husband and i adopted Brenna from a shelter, she was 7 weeks old and was a domestic short haired calico. The second i saw her i knew that she had to be my baby. She was a special cat, she would roll, sit, lick your hand, jump on your lap on command. We totally enjoyed her for six years. My husband came home from work and found bile and vomit through out the house.I was still at work at that time, and i remember him telling me that Brenna is not well, and seems very sick.I rushed home and took Brenna to our local vet, she stopped eating and was constantly vomiting. After a few days and many tests the vet advised us that they cannot find out what was her problem.the local vet advised us to take Brenna to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. They performed exploratory surgery, and confirmed it was pancreatitis,The doctors tried everything for over two weeks, even with the feeding tube she continued to vomit.the vets advised us that she was not responding to treatment, and that she was suffering and at this point there was nothing else they can do.I must say that the doctors at Red Bank tried everything possible and advised us that at this point the best thing for Brenna is to euthanize her.It was the hardest decision in my life to make, but i could not stand to see her suffer anymore.
After a few months we adopoted another cat and also named her Brenna, we truly believe that Brenna one sent us Brenna two. After a few months of training and playing with her, she also now rolls, kisses your hand, jumps on your lap on command, etc just as Brenna one did.Brenna two filled the empty void in our hearts, we truly love her, but we will never forget Brenna one
Best Regards
Annette
