My Dear Bud
by Annette Eagle Bull.........................................
To My Dear Bud,

The house would not be the same
To holler Hobo and you weren’t there just seems a shame.

You gave us so many memories and laughter you became a part of our family, you became our household name.

You traveled many miles while you were here off into Bulllwinkles you went one day when you came to see Jake graduate that day.

I remember when I moved to the trailer that year I would come and get you each evening to stay with me. I would try and read my books in bed and you would sigh with disgust, you were right, it was night.

Many nights I would get up and walk there you were with your bark who knows what places I would of went but I knew then you were heaven sent. You protected me each night and lay by my side sound asleep we went until the sun rise.

Each morning out the door you went I would say “see you tonight Bud” you would take your time strolling home like a King on his walk on his way to his throne.

You are the King of this home and with all these dogs your budget is blown. You set the precedence because now Lady, Bandit, Molly, Tamika, Ben, Buddy, Rudy, Missy call this place home.

Your going to another journey Hobo as I believe that dogs have souls too. You will see your roommates from the past Miss Sophia and Lucy Lou. I’m sure Sophia will be there to greet you and guide you through.

And when you reach your destination I know Gerard will be there to greet you with the biggest rawhide chew and he will take you for the longest cruise sitting in front you will be looking at the hills so free to run and again you two will have so much fun.

Some people don’t get the chance to understand what a true companion a dog can be you were a part of our family and always will be. But with you Hobo you weren’t just a dog you were a part of the Eagle Bull Family an icon we had for so long.

You seen that Rainbow Bridge Bud, it’s time to leave Happy Tails Ranch and go on, enjoy your journey Bud because you will continue to live on, in our memories and in our hearts it’s now time for us to part.
