Savannah
by Beve 57.........................................
My precious Savannah was a pound puppy that was my son's 18th birthday gift. She was only 2 but had half of her teeth pulled out and was so skiddish. It took 2 of us to put her into the car when we picked her up the first time. After that first ride she learned to love to ride in the car. She would get in and get right to her place to have her seat belt put on. She loved walks and was so protective. She was so very eager to please. My precious girl was with me for 11 years. Savannah became very arthritic when she got old and when she could no longer get up on her own I decided to take her to the vet one final time to ease her pain. When the vet came in to relieve her pain she laid her head on my hand and I held her so close one more time. I brought my precious love home and our Louie came and sniffed her. He was so sad. We buried her in the back yard with a statue over her grave. I miss her just as much today as I did 6 months ago. My precious love. I hope you wait for me at the rainbow bridge for I will look for you soon. Love, mommy
