It was Easter Sunday 2008 when I first looked into those big brown eyes and knew it was love at first sight. I had found the love of my life Miss Sassy Walters the cutest little miniature Dachshund you have ever seen. Very good puppy, easy to train and spoiled rotten to the core and yet still loved by everyone who ever met her.She was extremely stubborn and yet loved her family so unconditionally. She slept pressed against me every night and woke to kisses on her neck and belly every morning. Other than one illness with Pancreatitis and a few allergies she hadn't really had many problems in her 4 years with us. That's what makes Monday January 23, 2012 the worst day of my life. She had a normal day and just in a matter of a few hours was gone. So unexpected. The doctor said it was a very rare blood disorder. I wish the pain and horrible empty feeling I have would go away and yet I realize how very lucky we were to have our Sassy girl for such a short period of time. We miss you so much and we will love you forever. RIP Our baby Girl Sassy.
