Rex
by Bonnie Punt.........................................
This is a short story of Rex..He was a Rescued Thoroughbred that everyone gave up on...I was a girl going thru some really rough times. He picked me as his new Mom and thats when life turned around.
I begged my husband to let me have him as my own, he finally gave in and for the next 13 years that horse babysat me as I started to ride again, taught my Grandson the joys of riding and got into more mischief than enough, we finally bought our own farm in 2009 and Rex came home.Sadly it was only for a year, because in August of 2010 at the age of 38 my beloved boy went over the Rainbow Bridge. I still hear him calling at night sometimes and every once in awhile i swear i see him standing in the field next to his sister Dollie who also misses him terribly.Rex, you were one in a million my love and even tho Daddy called you Bubblehead sometimes, he grieved as much as i did when you left us...You are pain free now my beloved..Run Free and watch over Karrie for Daddy & I....I love you Buddy
