Zeus and Lily
by Brenda Granger.........................................
For ten years you have been members of our "two legged" family
Brother and sister...runt...and alpha male...
perfect love...yin and yang!
Never a day of loneliness you had each other...and we had you two.
You taught us your language...
we listened, grateful for your love...and lessons!
in exchange we gave you companianship, protection and peace...
We learned trust Lily...
through your gracious acceptance of the loss of your eyesight, and hearing...
You never hesitated to show your love to each of us by scent...always alert...eager to accept a pet, a snuggle, a kiss.
You taught us to be open to what ever comes our way...
the best things in life are not seen...they are felt
You were a true beauty...the spunky girl who by greeting us at the gate...welcomed us into her heart...you are our girl...and we
can not put to words the ways that we will miss you.

Zeus, gentle giant you allowed Lily to run circles around you.
Your magnificent grace and beauty...you never walked you pranced...thoes little white socks...and sparkling brown eyes...your
tuxedo markings, lightning bolt shock at the back of your neck...magnificent...and regal...we were so proud...
Your sweetness, and love made you a star
wherever you went...whoever you met
dont you know we got the best of it!
We never doubted your love, your faithfulnes,
your huge spirit...there will never be another like you...we will miss you more than we can say. We hope that you are happy now...
know how grateful we are for the ten years we had with you...and that you never failed us in any way...
we taught you people manners...and in return you taught us...
the most "perefect love"!

Lily passed in her sleep 9/11/2009, and Zeus followed her over the Rainbow Bridge the next day 9/12/2009...eager to catch up to his life companion, and sister...they left us in a cloud of dust with holes in our hearts...and tears in our eyes.
