Koda is forever in my heart.
by Brooke .........................................
In the year 2004 when we got Koda, I looked straight into her eyes and knew she was the one. Koda was energetic and happy as could be. She was the one of the best Rotties I've ever had. Not one mean bone in her body. She loves to wade. But most of all, she adored rocks! She would always have a rock in her jaws. The trouble really began when I got to the point where I wanted to teach her to jump. The first time I started to teach her to jump, she soared over that fence. We did this for a few days when she started to act tired. After a week, she had trouble lifting her head. So my mom took Koda to the vet. When mom and and koda got home, she announced Koda had very severe diabetes. That night after dance, the dreaded words were announced in the year of 2011. ''Koda's not going to make it.'' So the next morning she had to be put to sleep at the age 6. While it happened a while ago , I still think about her every day.
