I remember the day you came to my yard and
You stayed in my heart no matter how hard
The times they got, you where always there sharing and caring
No love was spared.

The summer, the fall, winter and spring, no matter the season
Your true love did ring.
Late at night or early morn, your love was so true, you would be there waiting
Even though I was blue.

And as I wonder about decisions I have made,
Remember my Lucky all was done so you would be saved.

Although the flesh is weak and the mind is gone
Your soul will linger in my heart for all time.

The days have dwindled down to a precious few, but in my heart you will
Stay until our lives shine a new.

So remember me Lucky, my beautiful girl,
When you lay at the throne of our Saviors' feet,
I will be home to see you though you have gone before me.

So go home now my darling and play and romp
Past the gates of heaven to a crystal stream
That runs true and deep like a wonderful dream

And I will be there someday to take your leash
And walk beside you in a land of peace.
