One snowy night

It has been a few years since Little Lipstick passed but now its time to share the few short days of his story as I know it.
I was sitting in my moms cozy lazy boy next to the patio door on a late fall evening with the door open when a beautiful silver striped cat came scratching at the screen. I noticed right away he (before I knew he was a he) had BRIGHT RED LIPS so I named him Lipstick. I knew Little Lipstick wasn't an indoor cat right away he wasn't fix and still had his claws so I really didn't want to let him in the house. He and my indoor cat Milo sniffed and played at the door for two nights. Well the third night he came around it was a good snow coming down and he really wanted to come into the house. After much sniffing and I figured no cat fights would happen I cracked the door and he tucked right in like he had lived there forever. Milo and He played he found the food and litter box all on his own! We couldn't have been happier. Lipstick climbed on my lap and took a nap that is when I noticed he had a really infected paw and it needed attention. I set up an appointment for him to be checked out, fixed and get the paw healed up. Lipstick and Milo kept playing like they were kittens together. We only were blessed with his warm presence for a few days. My mom took Lipstick to the vet to have his paw cleaned up and an appointment made to be fixed (he was going to be ours) an indoor cat now. Well Little Lipstick was really sick we knew he was under weight and had an infection but by know means did we think he FIV. We had to have Lipstick put down the Vet said he didn't have much longer and was hurting. That little cat in a week STOLE our hearts and its was so horrible to have to put him down. I will never forget my moms phone call when she left the vets office "Candi he trusted us he trusted us Candi" I believe he came to us knowing we would give him love and set him free from the pain he was in. I knew you for a week but will LOVE YOU FOREVER LIPSTICK.
