The cloud
by Carol Brassfield.........................................
The Cloud

I saw your shape in a passing cloud
You were running through the sky
Were you Searching for another cloud
To chase away the time?

My thoughts drift back to distant days
We shared fond memories
A faithful companion to the end
You shared your loyalty

So proud I was to show you off
No matter who would see
And when I fell in love again
Best dog ...-you stood right next to me.

Remember how you'd leap and jump
You filled my heart with joy
My gentle giant to the end
My fearless German Boy

Drift on my friend - there is a place
Beside a shady tree
Next to streams and golden fields
I know you'll wait for me.

My faithful dog, my loyal friend
We'll never really part
I'll keep your memory close to me
Always in my heart

So chase that cloud - jump at the sun
Run through the fields and rain
Drift on my friend; drift with the wind
We'll meet again someday.

Have a blessed day!
