My Lilly Girl
by Carrie Emerson.........................................

My son and I picked Lilly out from the litter. she was my 2nd Kuvasz. My first one, Cheyanne died at the age of 4 from breast cancer. The breeder was kind enough to extent the health contract. and gave me picj of the litter that was pet quality. She was a great puppy. She and I bonded immediatley. I walked her every day. Even in the winter. I would bundle up. Being a kuvasz, she loved the cold weather. In the winter she would roll around in the snow. Her white coat turned yellow against the snow. She was a indoor dog, and spend most of her day laying on the tile by the front door. she was always on duty. Guarding her home and family. She didn't like to see me upset. If she saw me cry, she would walk up to me and lick away my tears. On the day she died, we noticed she had a persistent cough. Then we noticed she was coughing up alittle blood. The Vet couldn't find anything abnormal. ater that day, I noticed more coughing and blood. She layed down in the corner of our livingroom. A couple hours later she started having labored breathing, and passed away in my arms. I was heart broken. And cried for days. We had her cremated, and plan to move to Colorado in 2 years, which is her birth place. At the right time I will scatter her ashes in the mountains. I will never forget her. She was very special.
