You left us so suddenly, buddy. You were fine all day and then you started wheezing. You had no prior health problems, and within minutes you were gone. There was nothing we could do. I sat with you in my arms all night. I went to school the next day with tear stains on my cheeks, and bags under my eyes. You were my best friend, Phil. When we brought you and Lillian home back when I was just 2 years old, We bonded instantly. You were my snuggler on cold nights. You were my ears when I needed to cry. You were my best friend for my whole life. Lillian misses you, still. 3 months have passed, and I don't think anyones fully healed yet. The first week was weird. My bed felt eerily empty, and my open windows longed for your presence. We've gotten a new kitten, baby, but not to replace you in our hearts. I could never do that to you. Nemo annoys Lillian to no end, just like you use to do. He loves snuggling up with people and playing with toys. You two would have been best cat buds, I just know it. Thank you, Phil, for 14 great years by my side. I love you. <3
